🍿 Annihilation (2018) ★★★½ - Just read the book, so, yeah this one was weird as it was so different from the book. I did enjoy it and I understand how so much of the book would be hard to convey on-screen. Book was far better. But I do like Natalie Portman. letterboxd.com/dvdlite/f…

I was a Coca Cola Classic guy back in the day. Guess I ‘m going to be the Reeder Classic guy now. I categorize and prioritize my RSS feeds and consume them intentionally, so this new approach seems like mayhem. And I’m good with my menagerie of fully functional, cross-platform clients.

🔗 Robert Birming - Letting Go - Very well put!

Jumped out of a perfectly good airplane today with my buddy Fred. Third time ever tandem jumping. First jump was just a few weeks ago. Super amazing experience — 48 seconds of free falling from 13,500ft followed by an adventurous canopy ride on a beautiful day! 🪂

Well, it wasn’t pretty, but it’s a win! Go Ducks! 🦆 🏈

🍿 Saltburn (2023) ★★★½ - Went into this one blind. Started a bit slow but got weird quickly. Certainly had its flaws, but I thought it worked overall. Ending was a bit pat and didn’t leave much to the imagination. letterboxd.com/dvdlite/f…

A Taste of Blacksmithing

Breaking the Ice

How do I break the ice with the first post on my new blog?

Well, rather than dive into a tedious personal history or jump straight into some complicated deep dive into how to migrate from Proxmox to XCP-ng, let me start with this:

This was the favorite photo I took in 2023.
